Intentions

I was born and raised in New York. I come from an upper-middle class, caucasian family. I have travelled across the U.S. and Overseas. I’ve been through college. I’m married, I’m a mother.

I love learning. I love meeting people. I love sharing.

I used to hate religion, but now I love Islam, and I am much more open to learning about and understanding other religions now that I am Muslim.

My whole perspective has changed.

I’m writing this blog to share with you my experience, my thoughts, the knowledge I’ve gained.

I found something so precious, so priceless to me. I found the answers to all my questions. I found the missing puzzle pieces. It’s something I had thought was impossible to find.

I am also hoping to learn about you and what you think. I want to have a dialogue with you.

I know you have questions, so please feel free to ask.

    1. Hello! Thank you for visiting! 🙂
I personally try to live every day with every action informed by Islam. Sometimes I fall short of course, for example: if I lose patience with my children, or on the road… But it is an integral part of my life, the basis really, of my life. I read Quran every day and pray all the prayers and try to remember God in every action, from getting in the car to drive somewhere, or when I’m about to eat.
In my dealings with people I try to also behave in away pleasing to my Creator as He has informed me through the Quran and through the prophets mentioned in it, and through the example of the prophet Muhammad.
Islam teaches to be kind, merciful and patient with others in our interactions and even in our private thoughts.
The prophets we learn about in the Quran were always kind and patient, even when they were harmed and persecuted. The Quran also tells us when we are dealt with wrongfully to wish peace on those who are harsh to us, to return evil with good.

I hope that helps satisfy your curiosity, but you are always welcome to visit and ask any questions you may have. This is why I am here. 🙂

I wish you peace and that you’ll return again! Please subscribe with your email to stay updated.

      Take care!

  2. Assalaam Alaikum,
Just wanted to share that the ultimate goal of islam is to attain Allah’s love and pleasure. Such a goal is man’s greatest hope in life and his most urging incentive for toiling (Yusuf al-Qardavi)…. And “real” success/failure follows it in the hereafter. Islam is the Allah’s choosen religion. He is owner of this universe and He himself alone is sufficient in defending His religion or His name. Hence, muslims should not become “very” concerned, worried or anxious about defending Islam image or about whether message of this religion is not spreading fast enough. it does not matter if entire world becomes Non-Muslim or Vice Versa. We are all moving towards Allah with our every breath and in the end, Allah has the final say.
